unnamedTell me a little about yourself and your background?

I was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida. I was a trouble child, into drugs and video games. I was overweight my entire life, always made fun of. I was the kid who wore t-shirts inside of swimming pools. It wasn’t until I was 24 years old that I decided to take responsibility and turn my life around.

What aspect of fitness do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy the feeling after a great workout. I’ve never once regretted a workout but I have absolutely regretted not working out

How long have you been into fitness?

I’ve been fitness professional for about 10 years now.

How did you get into fitness?

I got into fitness with the Beachbody programs, specifically P90X and Insanity. I was too embarrassed to workout at a gym, so I did this at home when I started.

What was a turning point for you to take it seriously?

When I was 24 years old. I was at an all time low, rock bottom. The great thing about hitting rock bottom is that it gives you a springboard to launch from. I stopped blaming others and accepted full responsibility for my circumstances. Nine months later, I lost 80lbs of pure fat, and dropped my body fat from 34% to 6%. More importantly than that, I gained a mental six pack along the way. Ever since, I’ve been extremely passionate about helping others in the health and fitness space.

How has fitness impacted your life?

Fitness is my life. I have 3 businesses in this space, and I’m going to have several more in the future. Fitness helps me function better which helps me help more people.

What words of advice or encouragement would you like to give to someone who is just starting out or would like to start but doesn’t know where to begin?

Remove time from the equation. Perfectionist is just a fancy word for procrastinator. If you read the stories of the greats who made an impact in this world, they’ve all committed before figuring out all of the details. Commit, then your creativity will follow.
