Tell me a little about yourself and your background?
I’m 19. I’m from Atlanta, Georgia. Huge family person. I really didn’t have a sport background or anything before I started my fitness Journey. I would of course play football and basketball with my family but that’s about it. I love smoothies. I’m gluten free. I love traveling. One day I want to compete on American Ninja Warrior.
What aspect of fitness do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy the confidence boost you get from fitness, it always a growing process you never will know everything about it, the fitness family, the challenge to get better at an exercise you are always challenging yourself, and the way it changes your whole life from emotionally, mentally, and physically.
How long have you been into fitness?
About two years now.
How did you get into fitness?
I know when I first started out in the fitness journey, I was just getting over being sick while I was sick I gained 20+ lbs. in less than two months.
I was going on a cruise and wanted a six pack. I also wanted to be firefighter so I needed to be tip top shape and in the future I knew I wanted to compete on American ninja warrior. So, I started working out in my bedroom looking at videos on YouTube. That’s how it all started.
What was a turning point for you to take it seriously?
I think I’ve started taking it serious like 6 months after I made my fitness page and seeing the growth and improvement in my body, confidence, and when I fall in love with fitness.
How has fitness impacted your life?
It definitely has made impact on my life. My life is surrounded by fitness. I’m literally working out everywhere I am. I have my own fitness Instagram currently at 11k. I love meeting my fitness family. Fitness is freaking amazing.
I love the change I’m seeing in myself from the physical, mental, and emotional growth.
What words of advice or encouragement would you like to give to someone who is just starting out or would like to start but doesn’t know where to begin?
Don’t give up when you may stumble, slip up, or even fall in your journey because it’s going to happen Don’t compare yourself to anyone else that’s on their fitness journey, especially fitness models, because their starting point isn’t the same as yours.
Hard work and dedication always pays off in the end.
Also remember small progress makes up the big progress you want to see. So focus on the small progress.
