Tell me a little about yourself and your background?
My name is Jeanitra Moore 31 years old from Louisville KY. I am a licensed realtor, online fitness coach and personal trainer. I’m a mom of three children, with a supportive partner/coach.
What aspect of fitness do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy working out with my partner and gym family. I love the support and motivation you get from others who are just as passionate about the doing the same thing. Fitness has been my guide to being a better version of myself. I’ve gained confidence to tackle obstacles and it rejuvenates my mind, body, and soul.
How long have you been into fitness?
I’ve struggled in the past with being committed , however I’ve been consistent with fitness for two years!
How did you get into fitness?
Six years ago I met my partner/bodybuilder IFBB Pro Kevin Johnson who’s become my “Coach” and one of my greatest supporters. His 15 years of dedication to fitness and changing the lives of others has motivated me to become healthier. At first I started with his group classes for weight loss. I wasn’t consist nor understanding of the process. But after Kevin and I conceived our youngest child I decided it was time for some changes. I
would attend Kevin’s bodybuilding competitions and it motivated my desire to be better. So competing crossed my mind often although health was my main goal. I began training under Kevin at The Factory Gym, which he’s literally taught me everything I know.
I managed to lose 30lbs in one year. Eagerly I decided to advance my journey by prepping for my first bodybuilding show. In 2017 I became a nationally qualified figure competitor in the NPC (National Physique Committee). Fitness has been life changing for me in many ways and I will always show gratitude to Kevin for being my motivation!
What was a turning point for you to take it seriously?
Before Real Estate and Personal Training I was a full time nursing assistant working night shift. I wasn’t making enough money, I didn’t get to spend much time with my family, or sleep. I’ve always been confident but after my third child I wasn’t so happy with my lifestyle. I would stress over things so easily that I decided it was time to take charge of my life. While working as a nursing assistant I took online classes to obtain my real estate license and decided to leave my night shift position as a certified nursing assistant. I was so scared but optimistic about conquering my goals ahead. After switching my career I had way more flexibility in my schedule that I began my fitness journey. It’s been a phenomenal experience!
How has fitness impacted your life?
I’ve become a social media phenomenon & personal trainer. In less than two years I gained over 40,000 plus followers through posting inspiring candid photos of my fitness journey. Fitness has bought a pact of wonderful people into my life and I’ve found my purpose!
What words of advice or encouragement would you like to give to someone who is just starting out or would like to start but doesn’t know where to begin?
First find your why and use that as motivation to not easily give up as I did in the past. Always ask questions and take note of what you learn. Seek guidance from a qualified coach. Be sure to check their client progress portfolio!
