I love nutrition, cooking and lifting weights. The ocean and mountains make me extremely happy. I grew up very active but never knew what I ‘wanted to be when I grew up’. I discovered my love for nutrition and fitness and the rest is history!

What aspect of fitness do you enjoy the most?

I love working out with others, challenging myself, breaking a sweat and the feeling of accomplishing a challenging lift or movement I thought I couldn’t do.

How long have you been into fitness?

I ran cross country in high school and tried almost every sport growing up. I have training and competing in NPC bikini shows for almost 3 years now.
How did you get into fitness and what was a turning point for you to take it seriously?

My passion for fitness and nutrition began when I entered culinary school. I so badly wanted to learn how to fuel the body to its fullest potential and create the perfect diet for optimum performance and function. Whilst studying nutrition I stumbled on weightlifting and fitness competitions, simply because it absolutely terrified me to step on stage in front of hundreds of people in a bedazzled bikini. Pairing nutrition and fitness for life-changing results physically, mentally, and emotionally completely changed my life. Now, three years later my devotion and ambition towards teaching others about fitness and nutrition grows daily.

How has fitness impacted your life?

Fitness has changed my confidence level, making me a happier person all together. It has helped me develop friendships and take on new challenges and experiences. Being a personal trainer, I can now teach fitness to others and share my passion!

What words of advice or encouragement would you like to give to someone who is just starting out or would like to start but doesn’t know where to begin?

One day or day one, you decide. Take that leap of faith and believe in yourself! Brainstorm your goals and figure out the body and mindset you want to have. Then make a step by step time sensitive list on how you can achieve them. You can do anything you set your mind to!
